Who Is Trying To Hang Israel?
Hamas has, in recent months, appeared to be leaving Iran’s fold, but the truth may be that “appeared” is the operative word. The organization’s leader and co-founder, Mahmoud Al-Zahar, is in Tehran after having been in Cairo until the Gaza Strip violence began. It is being reported in the Jewish press that Hamas has switched allegiances. On the surface, this makes sense because Hamas is a Sunni, Muslim Brotherhood organization and Iran is a Shiite country. The only thing they hate worse than each other is Israel.

Haniyeh sends a message to Israel as resumption of peace talks start
Middle easterners are good at sending covert messages, the kind that say more than any amount of words. Yesterday, Haniyeh visited the Turkish ship, Mavi Marmara, whose activist passengers tried to take on the IDF and lost. “Your martyrs are our martyrs, your blood is our blood, your wounds are our wounds,” Mr Haniyeh told the Turks, who support Palestinians and their cause to destroy Israel. Bolstered by Haniyeh’s hubris to show his own Jihad propensity, Abbas has now announced if Israel doesn’t kowtow to Palestinian demands, “hard measures” will be taken, but he wouldn’t say what those measures are. Given Hamas’ brand new brazenness about being a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood,Hamas calling for cancellation of the talks, and that Hamas and Fatah are so close to reconciliation, it doesn’t take much imagination to figure out what those hard measures might be. AHamas spokesmen said peace talks are doomed to failure and Abbas still says resumption of talks depends on Israel stopping settlement building. What a difference a day makes! Yesterday, the news had all but declared a war between Israel and Iran. Today, the headlines are back to regurgitating yesterday’s news and little talk of war. Why?

ISRAEL PREPARING FOR WAR
Israel is preparing for any scenario in the Gaza Strip. IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi in a press conference in Italy stated Israel is ready for all possible scenarios occurring in restless Gaza. The statement from Italy was made to reassure the Israeli public that Israel “will not accept” further rocket and mortar attacks. He said that the greatest challenge to the Israeli Air Force was “the military buildup on all of Israel’s different fronts – by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Hizbullah in Lebanon and in Syria and Iran.”

Summing Up The Summit
There was discussion of Iran and nuclear terrorisim, but the real heat was turned up under Israel. The summit has been called Terrorism: The nuclear summit’s ’straw man’ and “a smokescreen”. Whereas the calls for an Israeli/Palestinians peace was on the table before the summit, the number of voices and the decibels were raised considerably during the summit. This was by design. The world believes the Iranian nuclear threat would soften or disappear altogether if Israel and the Palestinians made peace.
